39 Hunter Street

The Building | Architectural

The plan to transform 39 Hunter Street incorporated reinstatement of integral elements of the building’s original internal spaces.

The plans also included protecting and, where necessary, faithfully reproducing fixtures and features which invoke this regal building’s rich heritage. Restoration was particularly focussed on the original and dramatic vaulted ceilings, inspiring decorative features, and internal columns and beams.

At the same time, to complement the building’s classic allure, inspired interior layouts considerably enhance accessibility, and new technologies and services optimise the occupants’ comfort and well-being.

To flood the building with natural light, a central atrium and a relocated lift-core were designed for the heart of the building, whilst state-of-the-art air-conditioning and ventilation systems have been installed to create a clean, healthy and invigorating working environment.
